Coaches and athletes have major opportunities and obstacles before them, especially on the college level. In our sports-centric culture, most of their opportunity lies in their influence. They also face significant challenges, despite their status and acclaim.

FCA's MISSION is to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

We are pursuing this mission with athletes and coaches at Samford University, Birmingham-Southern College,

Miles College and Lawson State. How?

ENGAGE – 1 Thessalonians 2:8

We engage coaches and athletes in various settings on four campuses by building trust, sharing our lives and sharing the Gospel. We strive to connect with them where they are on their spiritual journey.

EQUIP – Ephesians 4:12

We equip coaches and athletes through Christ-centered Huddle groups, leadership training, events, resources and on-going support in what it means to be a follower of Christ, growing in God’s Word and applying it to life.

EMPOWER – 2 Timothy 2:2

When ready, we empower coaches and athletes to help others experience the Gospel, grow in their faith, and to share Him with others.

We desire to make disciples of coaches and athletes, who make disciples. Both students and adults, when ready, actively lead our FCA ministries.

Where you come in:

If you are passionate about sports and passionate about seeing people engage in a dynamic relationship with Jesus, we are looking for you. We need people who God has called to pray, serve and give.

PRAY - Our ministry is completely ineffective without the power and presence of God. We need prayer partners.

SERVE - We have more work than we have workers. Odds are, we have an opportunity that matches your availability and passions. If you’re interested in learning more about giving of your time to minister with FCA as a volunteer, part-time or full-time staff, we want to hear from you.

GIVE - 100% of the funding for FCA comes from generous, everyday people like you. Specifically, our monthly partners set the pace for everything we do. Every dollar given positions us to steward and grow the ministry at Samford, BSC, Lawson State and Miles College. We are looking for those who God has called to partner in this work.
